She sways, but doesn’t step back.

She is made of thin, almost weightless metal.
The wind may make her sway, but it cannot make her step back.

Sometimes life presses harder than it should.
Sometimes this pressure makes her tougher.

But inside her, warmth still remains.

First presented at Halcyon during the Femme Festival in support of the Blue Dragon Foundation.

Almost dead, but hopeful

We are destroying ourselves, transforming into the enormous skeleton of what was once beautiful and mighty. Enriching the soil with the weighty twists of history, we will allow something new and bright to sprout.

What is reality, and at what point does it become real? This work attempts to capture the transition from uncertainty into form, that fleeting moment when nothing has yet been decided, but everything is about to take shape.

Particular attention is given to the figures’ poses, which reveal not so much individual personalities as the opposing forces present in our world: good and evil. The central figure stands in a neutral pose because he has not yet chosen which side to take. For the same reason, the world around him remains undecided.
